Apply NowThe Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Programme is a two-year professional programme in the field of Teacher Education which aims at preparing School Teachers. This is a professional Course that prepares teachers for upper primary, secondary level (class VII to X) and higher secondary level (Classes XI-XII). Also aims at preparing, practitioners and other educational professionals including manpower for curriculum development, educational planners, administrators supervisors, school principals and for extension activities.
Medium of instruction for the course is English. However, candidates may write the examination in Kannada for all papers except for language pedagogy papers. The language pedagogy paper shall be written in the language as directed in the subject of study. The Admission for management seat is based on merit marks obtained in the qualifying examination and in the entrance examination.
Eligibility criteria:
• A Candidate who has secured at least 50% marks in aggregate either in the Bachelor’s Degree / or in the Master’s Degree in Science/Social Science/ Humanity shall be eligible for admission to the degree of Bachelor of Education. Bachelors in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other Qualification equivalent thereto are eligible for admission to the B.Ed Degree.
• There shall be a relaxation of 5% marks in favor of SC/ST/Category-1/Physically disabled candidates

➢ Transfer certificate.
➢ Conduct certificate.
➢ Marks card (all the semester - Graduation/Post graduation).
➢ Convocation or Provisional certificate (only for those who did not study at Mangalore University)
➢ Migration (only for those who did not study at Mangalore University)
➢ Eligibility (only for those who studied outside Karnataka)
b. Xerox copy of the above
c. 1 Stamp-size photo and 2 passport-size photos.
The application fee for the program is ₹600, which covers the cost of processing your application. Once admitted, the total tuition fee for the first year is ₹85,000, and for the second year, it is ₹70,000.
